Labor Day Float: Shell Rock River

Celebrate Labor Day on the Shell Rock River as we paddle from Clarksville to Shell Rock! 

Join CrawDaddy’s expert guides on this peaceful, scenic river stretch, perfectly suited for the whole family.

We will meet at Heery Woods in Clarksville, drop off gear and paddlers and drive personal vehicles to our end point at Shell Rock campground. We’ll shuttle drivers back to the start where our adventure begins! We plan to be on the water at approximately 10 am and off the water by 4pm with a sandbar stop for lunch. This float is great for families, friends, beginners and anyone who wants to spend the day on the water!

Feel free to bring your own drinks, lunch and snacks to enjoy on the water. Flush toilet facilities are available at start and end points, but be prepared for wilderness bathroom practices on the river.

What’s Included: 

Professional instruction and guiding, transportation between put-in/take-out locations, kayak, paddle, PFD, first aid kit, and safety gear. If you’d prefer to bring your own kayak or gear, you are welcome to do so.

Skill Level:

Beginner. Plan to be on the water for 4 to 6 hours with a mid-day for lunch on a sandbar. We plan to paddle in most weather conditions–rain or shine, hot or cold, windy or still.

Not Included:

Lunch, snacks, water or other beverages, optional guide gratuities, items of a personal nature.

Time: 8am-5pm

Registration is limited to 12 people. A minimum of 6 registrants is required to offer the trip.

We have intentionally limited the number of participants on our trips in order to provide a safe and rich outdoor experience.

Trip Communication:
