Kilimanjaro stands at an impressive 5,895 m/19,340 ft above sea level, making it the highest free-standing mountain globally and earning it the title of the "Roof of Africa." Mount Kilimanjaro is a top travel destination on the continent, attracting over 40,000 visitors annually. Its popularity is due to its stunning beauty and the fact that climbers do not need advanced technical skills to conquer it. A good level of fitness is all that is required to reach the summit, which is why many choose to start their Seven Summits journey with this iconic mountain. The Machame Route, also known as the "Whiskey Route," is the most popular path up the mountain. It offers spectacular views and excellent acclimatization. Starting at Machame Gate on the southern slope of Mount Kilimanjaro, this route takes trekkers through various climatic zones, from tropical forest to the Arctic desert zone at the summit. Dave Ashley, Mount Everest and 7 summits climber will be the trip leader for this adventure. He's summited Kilimanjaro 5 times before, so you're in great hands! Once you've conquered Kili, join us on an optional 4-day Safari, exploring Tarangire National Park and Ngorongoro Crater National Park. This optional add-on requires a separate booking. Tanzania Safari ADD ON to Kilimanjaro Trek

Over 4 days you'll enjoy a well-deserved rest day following your Kilimanjaro expedition, and then spend 2 exploring Tarangire National Park and one day in Ngorongoro Crater National Park. You'll love the 4-Star "glamping" accommodations on the safari, and you never know what animals you'll see on a particular day. Our 2026 Safari group saw all of the "Top 5"! You'll explore in style: each 5 person group is assigned a private driver, a certified and English speaking guide. You cruise around in a comfortable Land Cruiser 4x4 with pop-up roof, fridge, Wi-Fi, and power outlets.The price per person on Safari depends on how many join. Prices for small groups are higher; for example 5 or more bring the average cost per person down to ~$1,600 for 2 sharing or $1,900 for single supplement. As a result, we won't know your final price until the group size is confirmed and our guide company confirms the hotel/lodging reservations. It's important to confirm the safari early as loading starts to fill up in the fall for next summer's safaris. DASH Adventures will refund any deposits on request if the group size does not reach 4 or more on the Safari, as these small groups of 1-3 people are much more expensive than the larger 4+ groups. So you can sign up with price protection! What’s included Transfers Transfers from your post-Kili hotel to Arusha where you meet your Safari driver, and transfer from Arusha back to JRO airport for your flight home.
