Many go fishing all their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after. -Henry David Thoreau
Fly fishing is a meditative experience, allowing you to unplug from the digital world and immerse yourself in the beauty of nature. The act of casting a line and focusing on the water’s flow helps reduce stress levels and brings a sense of tranquility. Did you know that the rhythmic motions of fly casting and the soothing sounds of flowing water create a relaxing environment for the mind?
In this beginner fly fishing clinic we will start with the basics of the fly rod, reel, and line. We’ll discuss the different types of flies and learn basic fly casting techniques with plenty of hands-on practice. You’ll then apply this knowledge by fly fishing in the Duck Pond at Three Rivers Park in Waverly.
If you’re ready to try your hand at this holistic experience, this clinic is for you!
